SALVE III People/Org Overview
The SALVE III project with the aim of realizing a low-voltage aberration-corrected electron microscope enabling sub-Angstrom resolution is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts (MWK) of Baden-Württemberg and the company FEI. The microscope will be installed at the Central Facility of Electron Microscopy of Ulm University at the group of Electron Microscopy for Materials Science (EMMS). The SALVE III development teams consist of staff at FEI Company, CEOS GmbH, EMMS, the institutes of Opto-Electronic and of Micro- and Nanomaterials of Ulm University and at associated and supporting member institutions.
The Scientific Project Manager Prof. U. A. Kaiser (EMMS) is appointed to report on a ¼ year basis to the DFG, the MWK Baden Württemberg and the Advisory Committee, coordinates the SALVE III project, handling budget and contract matters of the SALVE III instrument development, application investigations, and validation experiments. She is supported by the SALVE III consultant Prof. H. H. Rose and all team leaders.
